Bio

Highly regarded for his diligence, dedication, civility, integrity and compassion, Scott B. Tulman has successfully represented individuals and entities in state and federal courts for over 30 years.

As an Assistant District Attorney in the Queens County District Attorney's Office, Mr. Tulman was assigned to the prestigious Homicide and Investigations Bureau. His skills as a prosecutor were repeatedly recognized through awards from the New York City Police Department's Honor Legion and the Detectives' Endowment Association.

In 1992, Mr. Tulman opened the Law Offices of Scott B. Tulman & Associates, PLLC, in New York, New York, where he focuses on criminal defense, civil litigation and appeals. Tulman & Associates have established an impressive track record of success, including numerous acquittals after jury trials in serious criminal cases, reversals of convictions on appeal, and a multi-million dollar civil jury verdict. On many occasions, Mr. Tulman has also successfully persuaded prosecutors and law enforcement officials not to file criminal charges, to drop pending criminal charges, or to withdraw appeals based on his thorough factual and legal analysis of the case.

In addition to a successful law practice, Mr. Tulman devotes time to writing for publication and lecturing in continuing legal education programs, such as the Marino Institute for Continuing Legal Education (MICLE). He recently authored a chapter entitled "Understanding Ethics in Criminal Defense Case" for the "Inside the Minds" series, a publication providing readers with the perspectives and strategies of leading legal practitioners. He is a Past-President of the New York Criminal Bar Association.

Mr. Tulman has been "AV" rated for over two decades, listed for the past decade in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers, selected for inclusion as "Super-Lawyer" since 2011, and holds a 10/10 "Superb" rating in AVVO.
