Bio

James is a native of Beaumont, TX, a 1974 graduate of Lamar University and he received his Juris Doctorate from the University of Puget sound Law School, Tacoma, Washington in 1977. He became Board Certified in Criminal Law with the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 1997 and graduated from the DUI College from Harvard University in 2005. In 2006 he was Certified in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing.

James practices in all State and Federal Courts and his area of practice is DWI/DUI, Possession and Delivery of Controlled Substance, Aggravated Assaults, Sexual Assaults, Murder and all Criminal Matters.

James is a Founding Member of the Texas DWI Lawyers Assn, member of the State Bar of Texas, Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Assn, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers Assn,, American Bar Assn, American College of Barristers, Jefferson County Bar Assn, International Bar Assn, National Trial Lawyers-Top 100, National College for DUI Lawyers, National College for DUI Defense and Premier DUI Attorneys.

James is the former Chairman of the Criminal Defense Attorneys Section with the Jefferson County Bar Assn, President of the Southeast Texas Criminal Defense Attorneys, Director of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Assn, TCDLA Strike Force for District 13 and Director of the Jefferson County Bar Assn.
