Bio

Experienced and Compassionate Miami Criminal Defense Attorney Mycki Ratzan is a founding partner at Ratzan & Faccidomo with over 30 years of experience in Florida criminal defense in Miami. Prior to co-founding the law firm of Ratzan & Faccidomo, Mycki worked for 17 years as a partner in a Miami law firm defending individuals and corporations accused of crime. Mycki brings a wealth of experience and trial skills to Ratzan & Faccidomo, where she takes a particular interest in the defense of college students accused of crimes or facing disciplinary action by their institutions of higher learning. Mycki’s passion and compassion compel her to provide the best representation possible for her clients, always striving to win for them that second chance she knows they deserve. Mycki also practices in the area of administrative law, representing professionals in disciplinary actions by licensing agencies or those attempting to get licensed with criminal backgrounds. Mycki completed her undergraduate and advance degrees at the University of Florida, including earning her Juris Doctor law degree from the University of Florida College of Law in 1991. She has been selected to Miami Super Lawyers every year since 2006, and has also been honored in the South Florida Legal Guide as a Top Lawyer in South Florida. She is AV-rated by Martindale Hubbell, denoting the highest level of ethics, professionalism and legal ability as recognized by her peers in the legal profession. In 2016 Mycki was recognized by the National Trial Lawyers Association as a top criminal defense trial attorney. She is a member of the International Association of Women and an active member of the Women White Collar Defense Association. Mycki is admitted to practice in Florida courts statewide as well as the United States District Court for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Florida, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Supreme Court of the United States. She is an active member of the Florida Bar, The Dade County Bar Association, the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Mycki is married to lawyer Stuart Ratzan of Ratzan Weissman and Boldt and has two children. She is involved in many community activities, with a focus on women’s issues. She has been a mentor for women inmates through LEAP (Ladies Empowerment and Action Program), is a founding member of the Women of Tomorrow Mentoring Program and sits on a board for a women’s amutot initiative through the Greater Miami Jewish Federation. Mycki is currently the Board Chair for the University of Miami Hillel and an active Board member of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation where she acts as the co-chair of the attorney’s division.
