Alexandra Rengel, LLM/JSD is one of the founding members of Mercado & Rengel, a boutique international firm with offices in Boston, Miami and Madrid. Attorney Rengel is a member of the Bars of Florida, Massachusetts, and the Illustrious College of Attorneys of Madrid, Spain. She is an experienced trial and appellate lawyer in both federal and state courts. Her vast trial experience includes cases of great complexity, ranging from multi-defendant fraud and narcotics importation cases to murder in the first degree. Additionally, she has filed numerous appellate briefs and argued before the Appeals Court in Florida, the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.

Attorney Rengel obtained her Bachelor’s Degree (B.A) from Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts; her Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Boston University, in Boston, Massachusetts; and her Doctorate in the Science of Law (J.S.D.) from Saint Thomas University in Miami, Florida. In addition to working in her law practice, Ms. Rengel is an Adjunct Professor at Instituto de Empresa in Madrid and the author of Privacy in the 21st Century (Martinus Nijhoff Publishers, 2013).
