Bio

Barry Taracks graduated from Florida Sate University with an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology. He then went on to seek his Juris Doctorate Degree from Stetson College of Law. After completing law school, he accepted a position as an Assistant State Attorney for the 6th Judicial Circuit for Pinellas & Pasco County, where he prosecuted both misdemeanors & felony crimes on behalf of the State of Florida. He left to accept a position as a criminal defense attorney for a local firm in the Tampa Bay Area, where he specialized in DUI defense and complex felony litigation. After establishing his own firm in 1992, he has continued to defend DUI cases, ranging from misdemeanor DUI to DUI Manslaughter and Vehicular Homicide charges. Mr. Taracks has successfully defended numerous cases ranging from felony drug possession, sales & delivery, drug trafficking, RICO charges, felony battery, aggravated battery, felon in possession of gun, sex offenses and theft charges. He continues to advocate on behalf of those facing serious felony charges and has been featured on FOX NEWS, Tampa Bay Times and ABC Action News. He has over thirty three years experience defending only those charged with criminal offenses and has lived in the Tampa Bay area for over fifty years. He is married and has three adult children.
