Bio

Jimmy Cha is a solo practitioner of The Law Office of Jimmy Cha and dedicates his practice solely to criminal defense. Mr. Cha graduated from UCLA with a degree in Sociology, and earned his Juris Doctorate from Western State University College of Law, along with a Certificate in Criminal Law Studies. A certificate granted to only a select few who go above and beyond their normal course studies in the area of criminal law.

During law school, Mr. Cha externed at the Orange County Public Defender’s Office and Juvenile Defender’s Office. He served as a law clerk during law school, and was an independent gang profiler for criminal defense attorneys.

Jimmy Cha was included on The National Trial Lawyers’ list of Top 100 Trial Lawyers, and nominated as Top 40 Under 40 Criminal Defense Lawyers by The American Society of Legal Advocates. He was also selected as Southern California’s Outstanding Young Lawyers by Los Angeles Magazine, and as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers for 5 years and running.

Mr. Cha continues to give back to the community by serving as a guest speaker and as a mentor to inner city youth. Mr. Cha is also a member of the following organizations:

Mr. Cha has never prosecuted or convicted anyone; nor has he ever put anyone in jail. He assists those who are facing criminal charges and the serious consequences of a conviction, as a criminal conviction may have many adverse consequences on an individual.
