PROFESSIONAL  EXPERIENCE:

January, 1988 - Present: Attorney in private practice, specializing in criminal defense litigation and commericial fraud litigaiton. Licensed to practice in State and Federal courts in Texas and Arizona, the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.  Criminal practice is focused on major felony offenses including drug offenses, computer crimes, violent felonies and major fraud, both as defense counsel and in assisting with the presentation of cases on behalf of clients to prosecuting authorities.  Commercial litigation practice includes diverse areas of experience, including commercial torts, theft of trade secrets, copyright disputes, SEC litigation and  director liability litigation, including acting as lead local counsel investigating the failure of one of the nation's largest financial institutions.

May, 1985 - January, 1988: Assistant District Attorney, Special Crimes Bureau, Organized Crime Division, Harris County, Texas - Head of criminal asset forfeiture program with responsibility for various organized crime and major narcotics related investigations and prosecutions.

February, 1986 - January, 1988: Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, Southern District of Texas - Liaison responsible for coordinating forfeiture and drug interdiction efforts between Federal Gulf Coast Drug Task Force and local prosecutors.

March, 1982 - April, 1985: Assistant District Attorney, Harris County, Texas - Trial Bureau Prosecutor - Prosecutor responsible for trying major offenses including burglaries, aggravated sexual assaults, aggravated robberies, aggravated narcotics cases and murder.
