In 2020, Michael Stuzynski was named as one of the top 40 under 40 criminal defense lawyers in the State of Colorado by the National Trial Lawyers. This distinction is given only to a select group of lawyers in recognition of their superior skills and qualifications in their field and designates superior qualifications, leadership skills, and trial results. He has also recently received a third place nomination for best lawyer in Colorado Springs for 2022 by the Gazette.

Mr. Stuzynski is an experienced trial lawyer who has worked in the trenches of the criminal justice system as a public defender for over 6 years, representing clients at every level of the state court system before forming Rector Stuzynski with his partner, Terry Rector, himself a distinguished advocate. Mr. Stuzynski has counseled and defended clients charged with all types of criminal cases, including homicides. He also has experience litigating complex personal injury cases, including wrongful death matters, securing significant settlements for his injured clients and their families.
