Bio

Nationally recognized as a premier criminal trial lawyer, Priya Chaudhry is the founder of ChaudhryLaw PLLC. With nearly 40 jury trials in almost 20 years of practice in some of the nation’s most complicated and high-profile criminal cases, Ms. Chaudhry’s formidable career in criminal defense wins regular recognition, including: Chambers and Partners, Super Lawyers, National Trial Lawyers, Corporate LiveWire, American Institute of Criminal Law Attorneys, and National Association of Distinguished Counsel.

A true believer, Ms. Chaudhry aggressively and creatively defends her clients’ rights, regardless of the charges leveled against them. She has handled criminal matters from the most sophisticated white-collar cases to homicide. Ms. Chaudhry also represents individuals in regulatory proceedings, such as FINRA and SEC actions, as well as alleged Title IX violations, where she has won complete acquittal after trial for her student-clients. Ms. Chaudhry has earned a distinct reputation for her exceptional preparation and fierce advocacy.

For over a decade, Ms. Chaudhry has taught Trial Advocacy at institutions such as Cardozo Law School, Rutgers School of Law, and the New Jersey Public Defender; she has also lectured as adjunct faculty at Fordham Law School. She is the author of “Crimes of Dishonesty: Perjury, False Statement, and Obstruction of Justice” in White Collar Crime: Business and Regulatory Offenses (2017). Ms. Chaudhry received her undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley with High Honors and at the age of 23, was graduated from Northwestern University School of Law. She has an undying love for the Cleveland Browns.
