Bio

Over the last 36 plus years I have focused my practice on defending the accused citizens of this country. I have a particular focus on Federal criminal defense in all criminal matters, including white collar, RICO and drug cases. I have a special interest in Federal firearms prosecutions. I have practiced in Federal courts in the Central District of California, District of Kansas, the Northern, Eastern and Western Districts of Oklahoma as well as the Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit in Denver and the Unites States Supreme Court. I also defend major felony cases in state court including murder, arson, rape, kidnapping, firearms and serious drug offenses. In 2018, I was awarded the Jack Dempsey Pointer Champion for Justice Award by the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. I received the Jack Dempsey Pointer Award for training of other lawyers to defend a federal criminal case in 2017.I received the OBA Criminal Defense Professional of the Year for 2014. I am honored to have been a member of the Criminal Justice Act Panel for more than 20 years. I have served as a mentor for lawyers on the CJA training panel. I have been an FBA law school mentor for law students for several years. I am a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, the Oklahoma Criminal Defense Lawyers Association and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
